NEW INDIE FOLK SINGLE “CAST AWAY” BY DRAGONFLY STIGMA OUT NOW
Songwriter/producer Dragonfly Stigma released “Cast Away” featuring Nicholas Berg that is all about finding and accepting yourself. This song will bring you to the present and help you stay mindful while embracing your uniqueness. Listening to this track for the first time, I instantly heard a resemblance to “Fine Line” by Harry Styles. Both songs share the same vocal style and equal tranquility/peacefulness. The beginning also reminds me of Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. “Cast Away” represents pushing out all the negative and allowing the positive to float in. Dragonfly brings soul and beautiful acoustics echoing stillness. The lyrics tells the story of finding your way through the dark to get to a place of safety/comfort.
Dragonfly Stigma grew up in France in the 80s surrounded by music. She really connected to acoustic music learning to play the piano and guitar. Playing these instruments was a revelation as she was able to express her innermost feelings and creating her own world of emotion. She was writes her own music but in the beginning was too shy to show them to the world. She worked as a teacher to continue her music privately until she felt comfortable enough to let the world hear her music.
