Singer/songwriter, Jaime Deraz released “Miss You in New York” where lyrics take the forefront exploring a painful breakup in a beautiful city. Jaime carefully crafted this track to paint the story around senses drawing her listeners in. She is walking us through the relationship from the budding relationship up until the emotional breakup. Jaime does an amazing job with connecting the breakup to the hustle and bustle of the city. New York is known for colors, signs everywhere but suddenly all has become dull to her. New York will not be the same for her, the love is still there, but the vibe has forever been shifted. “Miss You in New York” has a lighthearted feel to it despite its raw lyrics and Jaime’s vocals are perfection. The music videos brings the lyrics to life at the mention of a baby blue t-shirt and a cigarette while Jamie is surrounded by the New York scenery.
