NEW CAPITAL RECORD SIGNEE, BABYFACE ENLISTS KEHLANI, ARI LENNOX, QUEEN NAIJA & MORE FOR UPCOMING ALBUM

The twelve-time Grammy award-winning artist, Babyface, has officially signed with Capital Records. The announcement came in late July. The upcoming album will feature vocals from Babyface (yeah, this guy can do everything), alongside some of today’s brightest female R&B stars. If you aren’t ready for this drop, we know the Recording Academy is.

Set for an Octobre 29 release, Girls’ Night Out will come just in time for spooky season. This new project will feature Babyface’s collaborations with Ella Mai, Queen Naija, Ari Lennox, Kehlani, Doechii, and others.  “I am extremely honored and humbled to be signing to a legacy label like Capitol. They have welcomed me with open arms and treat me like family. And, in the end, that is what it’s all about – doing what you love with people who have the same love for music as you do,” said Babyface. “I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it. The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear.”

Earlier this year, Ella Mai teamed up with Babyface on the soulful track “Keeps on Fallin’,” which will feature as the first track on the upcoming album. The partnership was a “dream come true” for the “Boo’d Up” hitmaker, and Babyface was stoked about it too. If the single is any indication of the musical vocal prowess to be showcased Girls’ Night Out, pop and R&B fans everywhere should really be looking forward to late October.

Michelle Jubelirer, CEO of Capitol Music Group, said, “Babyface’s return to the studio is long overdue, and I couldn’t be happier that he’s chosen Capitol as the home for such a wonderful new album. To hear his one-of-a-kind voice paired with some of music’s most impressive female artists is a joy that we can’t wait to share.”
