“nervous eyes” is his latest single that showcases his genre-blending alternative style. It’s a song with warm weather vibes that is about two people sharing an unspoken, forbidden desire. Fusing musical elements from indie, rock, and pop, tyler creates an atmosphere of nervousness and excitement that mirrors the emotions detailed in the lyrics. Easing into the song with a slow introduction, the pace picks up during the dream-pop chorus before easing back into a slower second verse. The ups and downs in production also reflect the emotions in the lyrics – knowing that you both want the same thing but also knowing it’s wrong to give into the desire.
