Mojave Grey released a new single “House of the Sun,” living out the last few moments of summer. The track blends rock, pop and electronica for dance lovers and music enthusiasts alike.
The duo, consisting of Zander Bleck and Michael Pozzi, is one of the biggest pop-electro acts in the new coming genre. Bleck leads with vocals while Pozzi shapes the rest of their music on guitar. Mojave Grey came to be right in Joshua Tree, using the desert as inspiration for the soundscape. The artists became synonymous with desert dance music, evoking heat and intensity.
There are aspects that are reminiscent of the electronic music genre: synthetic effects and an addictive beat. Bleck’s vocals, however, are smooth and airy. In fact, the entire track is not as hard and staccato but falls lightly.
As long as we believe
In you, in me
Hold on to this dream,
Close our eyes and breathe– “House of the Sun”
“House of the Sun” plays a bigger part in the expansion of Mojave Grey’s world. Origins is a cinematic series that provides fans with a deeper look into the creative process and sound. The videos are organized in chapters, like “Thunderbird” and “Chasing After You.” They are filmed in a documentary style but combine stylized scenes where Bleck and Pozzi act and share behind-the-scenes.
Additionally, Mojave Grey is preparing for many performances alongside artists like Bob Moses, Orville Peck and SOFI TUKKER. For the winter, the duo will make official their Aspen Residency and bring some desert heat to fans.
