MODERN-DAY MACHINES BRING LIGHT BACK TO THIER SINGLE “SKIN AND BONES”

Modern-day Machines is bringing attention back to their Halloween two year old single “Skin and Bones,” which their first installment on their Visitor debut EP series. Despite being out for two years this is definitely a song worth talking about. The lyrics are deep, poetic and almost haunting as modern-day machines dive into personal turmoil and self loathe. Perfect to release on Halloween as it is all about putting a mask on (playing into the cover art as well) and being someone else for the day and the lyrics state that one is longing for a change in life. A progressive metal track written in the post-hardcore tradition, it features predominately clean, but aggressive vocals backed by heavy riffs. Very high energy and very enjoyable to listen to from start to finish.

What does it mean to be entirely inadequate at every single thing you try?
and the sum of your life, a list of fucking disappointments,
not a single thing done right
I am inanimate, an object impermanent

Lyrics to “Skin and Bones”
