Let Michael Beharie’s “Lolo” Take You On a Trip
Psychedelic-Folk artist Michael Behaire has released “Promise“, marking his third official album release and his first project of 2022. The album, which officially launched on April 8th, features eight tracks written and performed by Behaire. “Promise” creatively intertwines both the psychedelic rock of the 70s with modern indie rock -taking you on a much-needed trip away from the chaos of everyday life. Behaire’s vocals paired alongside trancey, blissed-out guitar makes for the perfect album to relax and unwind with after a long week.
“Lolo“, a featured track on Behaire’s newest album, touches on feelings of isolation and self-doubt. The introspective lyrics yearn for an answer to the unceasing hurdles we face as we move through our lives. Despite the vulnerability and rawness of the lyrics, the track is uplifting -reassuring you that life will always continue to march forward. “Lolo” opens with airy guitar strums and a steady, bouncing beat. Behaire’s vocals are introduced quickly, lifting you up and making you feel almost weightless. As the song progresses, you are introduced to an easy-on-the-ears guitar solo, grounded by the steady bass that exists throughout the song. The contrast between Behaire’s euphoric vocals and the earthiness of the track is a match made in heaven.
While Behaire’s “Promise” was released earlier this month, “Lolo” was officially released two years ago as a part of a compilation celebrating Astro Nautico‘s ten-year anniversary.
