Maya Delilah returns with a new summer single, “Silver Lining.” The British singer-songwriter, who’s gained attention on social media for her wicked guitar skills, has been steadily releasing pop music since her debut with “Tangerine Moon.”
The preparation and release of the single have excited fans, both old and new. Delilah has taken to her Instagram, sharing photo dumps of the behind-the-scenes, like songwriting notes and music video bloopers.
Her aesthetic matches her music style. Eccentric and down-to-earth, the artist manages to fuse her strength in guitar with honest storytelling. It’s as memorable as her unique style. She hints, however, this single might be the beginning of something a little different in her musical journey.
As the first single of a really exciting new project, it’s introducing a new world of sound for me with elements of acoustic pop that I haven’t explored before.

“Silver Lining” is a bittersweet love song, speaking on the contradicting sides of a love interest and having to weigh the good versus the bad. Sound familiar? In her own way, Delilah touches on the emotional rollercoaster we all go on falling for someone, then realizing it may just be the idea of them, but wanting to love them anyway.
The room is spinning
– “Silver Lining”
My sober mind is not convincing me otherwise
Sometimes falling feels like dying
But I’m obsessed with your silver lining
Clearly, there is more to come. As she hinted, Maya Delilah is working on a new project where “Silver Lining” is just the beginning. There hasn’t been any news on concerts or official appearances, but fans can perhaps be appeased by keeping up with the singer on Instagram (her guitar covers are to die for). Also, make sure to check out the rest of her discography on Spotify— a special mention for fan favorite “Breakup Season.”
