MAX CREEPS ANNOUNCE NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU, EPIC REUNION TOUR

Max Creeps are buzzing all over the interwebs and now they’re going on tour. After a short-lived “break-up” the seminal band announced their reunion in epic fashion. The Max Creeps mythos, now a belabored topic, goes a little something like this:

Punk rock duo Max Blastic and PC Bullshit had a fated meet-cute at David Bowie’s final Ziggy Stardust show in 1973. Not long after, they’d become era-defining legends whose songs ignited the punk rock movement and influenced most, if not all, of the genre’s biggest names––think Sex Pistols, Green Day, Motörhead, Devo, DOA, Guns N’ Roses, and the list goes on. But they never recorded anything, and after a short stint in rehab, the Creeps returned to the scene they’d created only to find that most of their tracks had been ripped off.

In early April 2022, Max Creeps hopped online and announced their break-up, which instigated an overwhelming number of social media lamentations from members of the aforementioned punk all-star list. To the younger internet user––or perhaps anyone outside of the early 70s Hollywood garage scene––this celebrity outpouring for Max Creeps was mystifying: who were these guys, the internet asked? Due to the complete lack of recorded Max Creeps music from the last 40 years, the confusion was justified. But Max Creeps are back––having officially announced their reunion––and this time they’re in the studio, with a few new singles out now on Spotify.

After the reunion, the Creeps have shown no signs of returning back to their extra-internet hiding holes. Nien, a 9-track studio album, was released just yesterday––Friday the 13th––via Velocity Records, and the duo has also announced the first leg of their upcoming U.S. reunion tour, Nobody Cares About You. Ticket on sale in May. It’s going to be a hell of a ride.

You can buy your Max Creeps merch, order Nien, and check out the accompanying videos to their 2022 singles on their website. You can also connect with them on Instagram. Website and Instagram? These guys are cruising through their internet 101 course. Or, a question to leave you with: Have they been planning this all along? Are Max Creeps the ultimate social media gurus? Have they mastered the highly-coveted art of going viral? If so, hats off to you, Creeps.
