Mau P’s Full Circle Moment with Swedish House Mafia

“These guys are the reason 14 year old me stayed up at night and chased his dream. The biggest honour ever to do this remix for you.”

Mau P

Amsterdam’s poster boy, Mau P, was recruited with the honor of remixing Swedish House Mafia’s latest hit, ‘Ray of Solar’ – which is available today across all major streaming platforms. In honor of release day, he shared with his audience insight into his beginning roots as a producer, sharing a photo of himself with his set-up, as well as citing Swedish House Mafia as the reason he got into electronic dance music… which is all to familiar for our generation. If you hadn’t been exposed early on to EDM as a teen in USA by artists like Skrillex when he debuted or Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia was definitely a trio that pushed dance music heavily into the commercial space.

Ray Of Solar is taken from the forthcoming Swedish House Mafia album and the soundtrack to their triumphant return. Mau P manages to capture the original’s essence while transforming the record into a euphoric masterpiece. The Ray Of Solar remix is a fitting successor to Metro, with which Mau P first explored this style of production.

“Music is definitely in my DNA but I know for a fact that there wouldn’t be a Mau P without those early influences by the Swedish House Mafia. They’re the reason I went down this path and this remix is truly a full circle moment. I feel like every month I have to come up with a quote about another dream coming true, but nothing as insane as this one, that’s for sure.”

Speaking on behalf of the Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello added;

We’ve been watching Mau P for some time and like what he has been up to. We are really glad to have him do a remix of our latest single, Ray Of Solar, enjoy!
