Multi-platinum artist Kehlani has officially announced the release date for their eagerly awaited fourth studio album, CRASH. Slated for release on June 21 through Atlantic Records, this marks Kehlani’s first full-length album since their 2022 hit LP blue water road. This announcement was accompanied by their new hit single “After Hours.”

The single is a summer anthem that has quickly become a global sensation. Since its release last month, the groove-driven dance track has amassed nearly 30 million streams worldwide and 4.6 million streams in the U.S. within its first week, making it the strongest debut of Kehlani’s career. The track has also climbed to No. 14 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay Chart.

Billboard has lauded “After Hours,” highlighting its “good vibes that encourage fans to embrace the summer spirit.” Produced by Khris Riddick and Alex Goldblatt, the song incorporates a sample from Cordel “Scatta” Burrell’s renowned “Coolie Dance Rhythm.” The music video, directed by Amber Park, was shot at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas and features a guest appearance by Burrell.

Their career is marked by high-profile collaborations with artists such as Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Burna Boy, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and Calvin Harris. Her work has also featured on major soundtracks like Suicide Squad: The Album and The Fate of the Furious: The Album. They have received the “Rule Breaker Award” from Billboard Women In Music and performed at major festivals including Voodoo Music + Arts Experience and Coachella.

Their sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 and earned spots on numerous year-end lists from publications like Billboard, Esquire, and The Guardian. Her third album, blue water road, continued to showcase her evolving artistry.

After a sold-out North American tour with Rico Nasty and Destin Conrad, Kehlani wrapped up her The Blue Water Road Trip tour in Australia and Asia. Now, in 2024, she is set to return with CRASH and much more, already dropping another single, “Next 2 U,” after the release of “After Hours.”

CRASH can be preordered and presaved through their website, and “After Hours” can be found on most major music platforms.
