JULIANA MADRID RELEASES “AFTERLIFE” OFF HER UPCOMING SOPHOMORE EP

Juliana Madrid releases her newest single off her upcoming sophomore EP (to be released later this year via Neon Gold Records) “Afterlife.” She dove into a new expansive deeper sound with this new track and telling the story of not being in the best headspace, but knowing you’ll be alright again.

“Afterlife,” I am sort of flirting with the universe in hopes of getting more time. I’m often living in my own head, so I tend to get into these ruts where it feels like I’ve been putting my energy towards the wrong thing or not working hard enough or not using my time to my best advantage. Throughout the song, I attempt to understand these thoughts and try my best to find a middle ground with my own fears.”

“Afterlife” is a soft indie track with Juliana’s beautifully captivating vocals with a lighthearted dance tone. The beat after the chorus is so fun and easily makes you throw your hands up reaching towards the sky or shall I say the “afterlife.” This is such a relatable track of constantly being in a battle with your own brain and not knowing what is going to happen once everything is over. It is scary, but Juliana keeps the feeling mellow and calm, but not losing that connection to her own emotions. Very well done, super enjoyable and a song to listen to way more than once.
