Singer-songwriter Jovanni Cardenas is making his mark on the music industry. A native of Annandale, VA, Jovanni’s first release in 2019, “Let You Go,” gained him widespread recognition in his hometown. Already known for his thought-provoking lyrics and softer soundtracks, Jovanni’s recent releases “Churches,” and “Landslide” show his music’s increased emphasis on narratives and storytelling. Inspired by the likes of Justin Vernon, Ed Sheeran, and the Late Amy Winehouse, New York native Annamarie Rosanio blends blue-eyed soul and folk to create an indie-pop sound that’s all her own.

Together, the duo released a powerfully uplifting single, “Shakespeare.” The collaboration harmonizes the push and pull of the poeticism of love and relationships. The track begins with soft acoustics and vocals from Rosanio. Then the beat drops and you’re sent soaring through the scenery written out for all to witness and experience. Cardenas comes in with harmonies in the chorus and during the second verse, softly caressing Rosanio’s sound with his own.

This track is the second from their duo project titled “Seymour,” coming out on December 10th. Stay tuned for more updates, and stream the single now, available on all platforms:
