On February 11, singer/songwriter Jordan Michelle released her new single, “Kids in Love,” a pop-punk love song that encapsulates a 2000’s teenage dream romance. The accompanying music video, released on YouTube, premiered appropriately on Valentine’s Day.

“Kids in Love,” lyrically, is about falling head over heels with someone in the midst of a pandemic, moving across the country, and reminiscing about your teenage years as you fall in love. Jordan has always used music to express how she feels; writing this song about her relationship and chasing that teenage love feeling is a memory she holds close to her heart and does not want to let go of.

Jordan commented on the single’s conception, saying, “I moved to LA for a guy who swept me off my feet. I hopped in my convertible, came to the land of the OC (which is without irony, the first show we watched together). We spent our time going to drive in concerts, climbing up on his roof, drinking, talking, listening to music, and looking at the stars. Literally, as if we were teenagers.”

Jordan Michelle, is an alternative pop-rock artist, born and raised in NYC, currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Combining a wide spectrum of influences from Gwen Stefani to Green Day, she packs powerful vocals with full-fledged punk energy. Her hopes are that her personal experiences can help her fans find truth in the battle of self vs. society. Last year, she founded a skincare and beauty line, named by Jordan Michelle. The brand is music-themed and encourages having all the tools to express your truest self fully while living your best, rock star lifestyle.
