JEEN Unleashes Hypnotic Alt-Rock Gem “Hold My Head Up Higher”

Alt-rocker JEEN is back with another atmospheric track. “Hold My Head Up Higher” brings a level of relentless energy and rawness that only JEEN can achieve.

Released yesterday, the single comes off the Canadian musician’s forthcoming album Gold Control, which is slated for release on February 2, 2024. For this song, JEEN features Canadian indie musician and producer Ian Blurton. Together, the two make magic. JEEN and Blurton complement each other’s artistry naturally, as the two have solid rapport — Blurton has co-produced the last of her five albums. It’s a match made in heaven.

Float in the genre-defying soundscape as the melody seeps into your core. Hazy vocals and a rolling beat have us hooked.

If you don’t catch me where I land
I’ll hold on as long as I can
You don’t ask me where I am
When I say I want to run

~ “Hold My Head Up Higher”

With an accompanying lyric video, the “Hold My Head Up Higher” visualizer immerses viewers in a trippy retro aesthetic. JEEN sings, serene beach scenes shake, and planes fly about in a hypnotic experience.

Explore more from the artist on her website, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter as JEEN prepares to roll out more music.
