Singer/songwriter Jacob Lee is in a league of his own with his meaningful, emotive lyricism and powerful melodies, supported by mystique, ambiguity, passion, and brilliance. He flexes his prowess in this area in previously released “You Were Right,” a stunning showcase of his stirring vocal work and touching lyrical work.

Paving his way in a completely independent manner, Jacob has acquired over 240 million Spotify streams with no label, management, nor booking agency. He has toured Europe, the UK, Asia, and Australia. The young songwriter and entrepreneur released his debut album, Philosophy, in 2019 then his second full-length record, Conscience, in 2020. With the release of “You Were Right” and its follow-up, “Don’t Forget Me,” it looks like fans are in for something else that’s brewing behind his poetic mind.

“You Were Right” is an acoustic track that is about as acoustic as it gets. Listeners are treated to an extremely moving track that layers unmatched emotional tones between stripped back instrumentals to create an atmosphere that is heavy yet delicate at the same time. There’s so much sentiment that shines through the lyrics, filled with missed memories, affectionate longing, and bittersweet heartbreak. It’s the kind of track that engulfs you with its sound production as you reminisce on moments that your brain relates to the messaging. Allow yourself to be swept into the world of Jacob Lee with “You Were Right.”
