JACK SKULLER “ASKING FOR A FRIEND” OUT NOW

New Jersey singer-songwriter Jack Skuller came out with a new single “Asking For A Friend” off his upcoming debut album Draw The Lucky Card. The album will be released on October 14 on all digital platforms. This smoky pop powered track was co-written with art-pop singer-songwriter George Usher. “Asking For A Friend” has guitar riffs backed by drums that matches the uncertainty Jack sings throughout the song. A tune full of curiosity and the melody keeps you intrigued until the end. The lyrics and the way Jack tells the story makes you want to know the answer to the question he’s asking. There are certain questions we might just never know the answer to but you ask them to the void in hopes one day you’ll get an answer.

“I wrote down some notes about how we continually reach out for dubious advice on how to live our daily lives. This includes consulting faceless horoscopes, hit-or-miss weather reports, up-to-the-minute train schedules and, of course, the opinions of online strangers.”

Draw The Lucky Card will feature 10 tracks that were written during the pandemic and recorded in the Poconos. It will include other singles the eccentrically danceable “Watercolor Rain,” and uplifting “Give Yourself a Chance.” Jack is leaning into more Americana sound with revealing personal lyrics. With this new recording he has produced his most expressive and reflective work to date.
