Accomplished and multifaceted producer Edgar Everyone has teamed up with Pretty Pistil on an indie-electronic single accompanied by a wild ride of a music video. “Align Me” is out on all streaming platforms December 1st with the music video out on December 8th.

“Align Me” is a psychedelic roller coaster of a number, its composition veering between neon haze and vocal unreality. Its ethereal nature lulls as well as energizes, and the penultimate lyrics score a neat balance between soothing and striking. It’s a great effort from this artist.

Edgar Everyone has big plans for 2024. He’s already producing a weekly series of Instagram reels where he deconstructs his song-creation process and plans to see America touring solo in his camper van. Edgar says that as he plans his tour and fine-tunes his sound, it all comes together: “I also have been heavily into electronic sounds more lately and I think it’s all serendipitous.” He says that on his tour he can craft his live sound all on his own and bring different sounds together, adding, “I don’t consider myself a DJ really but I can try to bridge the gap between indie pop/rock and techno sets.”

Behind the moniker Edgar Everyone is Jules de Gasperis, French musician who grew up in Paris and relocated to L.A.  After spending years in the studio producing for some names in the local scene, including Low Hum, Geographer, Kunzite and James Supercave, Jules eventually began creating for his own voice again. According to the singer, “Edgar is like my musical alter-ego, the part of me that loves being on stage. Also I tend to feel like a sponge, being nurtured and inspired by so many artists, there’s an exchange of energy that’s beyond words and explains the ‘Everyone’ in my name”.
