Hot Milk is uninhibited in its quest to be loud and proud with new releases. Band members Han Mee (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jim Shaw (lead vocals, guitar), Tom Paton (bass), and Harry Deller (drums) unflinchingly declare nonconformism in their recent single, “PARTY ON MY DEATHBED.” The emo and pop-rock band released this song off its upcoming debut album, A CALL TO THE VOID, which will be unleashed on August 25 on Music For Nations.

Tracks off of A CALL TO THE VOID are brimming with positive nihilism, rebelling against the norm and inspiring dauntless spontaneity. “PARTY ON MY DEATHBED” is the epitome of Hot Milk’s spunky nature.

I’m here to live my life electric,

Just wanna party on my deathbed,

Yeh maybe I am just a wreckhead,

but I know I don’t wanna waste it,

Just wanna party on my deathbed

~ “PARTY ON MY DEATHBED”

Opening with a killer guitar intro in front of a grungy dark band set up with flashing lights, it’s clear that this edginess is what draws so many fans to Hot Milk. “PARTY ON MY DEATHBED” begins with Hot Milk’s signature sound before Jim Shaw enters with a rap, and Han Mee comes in shouting, exuding rockstar flair of the highest degree. The song slows, and blue and green mood lighting takes over, combining Hot Milk’s style both sonically and visually. The video ends strong with oh-so-satisfying skillful guitar riffs to close, and viewers just can’t get enough of the alternative vibes.

We can’t be helped, we just wanna squeeze out every morsel of this life and being a bit of a wreckhead has come hand in hand with the pursuit of fun. Can’t be stopped, don’t wanna be stopped, we’re sorry but we’re not, maybe we’re just lost. Who cares, life’s about connection n getting off the f***in internet n losing ur mind on the streets of Manny and finding it again on your way home.

“PARTY ON MY DEATHBED” is amping up anticipation for A CALL TO THE VOID. The album refers to the French phrase “l’appel du vide,” meaning how human brains notice opportunities to die — that fatality is eerie and spurs existentialism. With other singles from the album like “HORROR SHOW” out and hitting more than a million streams, Hot Milk’s debut album is bound to be the best on the books for the band. Listeners can pre-order or pre-save the album on all major platforms here

Hot Milk closed off its tour of South America, but more is on the way for fans, with many appearances at festivals in Europe slated for July, like TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow, UK and Lollapalooza Paris, France.
