Have you been watching the news? Jonsk released a new song “The News” a few months ago, and now there is an exquisitely matched music video to go along with it. Don’t be fooled by the whimsical, electro-pop mask of the song, as it actually covers quite a serious topic… politics.

It’s a song that’s sure to make you dance, Jonsk’s biggest goal as an artist. His music is influenced by the latin freestyle he would hear nightly outside his Brooklyn bedroom and by the disco funk music his parents would blast out their gigantic ceiling home stereo.

“The News” fuses a cool future-trap bass beat with pop auto-tuned vocals in an interesting way, and there’s even a quirky guitar and piano jam toward the end. It’s off-kilter and catchy. Jonsk has released two other singles this year, “When I’m Alone” and “Bulls on Parade.”
