Greta Van Fleet Conclude “Dreams in Gold” Tour and Preview New Era
As we come to the end of the ‘Dreams in Gold’ circus… we feel the need to share a new beginning.
These were the words of lead vocalist of rising legends, Greta Van Fleet, as they performed the last night of their tour in Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center. And just moments later they shared with fans a first taste of what’s to come.
Out of four songs that were unreleased, Greta Van Fleet introduced the third with an intense instrumental solo that slowly built the pace and intensity of the song’s story and all it had to offer.
“It’s about my jumpsuits,” the lead vocalist commented, “But it’s also about much more than that, of course. We hope you like it.”

Greta Van Fleet has been performing a succession of sold out shows since releasing their latest album, The Battle At Garden’s Gate. The last two years seemingly have been a ride, as they traveled the world gracing stages of all sizes and their fans amassed to the millions. And it’s no wonder at all, seeing this band live for the first time. Greta Van Fleet may very well have the makings to become one of the greats in at least the next generation of rock and roll, if not of all time.
It’s been an insane ride, with plenty of ups and downs You’ve been there with us the whole time, and you inspire us deeply. After calling this performance the thesis in what’s the “dreams in circus,” I will leave you here with our last songs of the night.
A grand finale the night was. Pre-encore, the band played the final song of their new album, “The Weight of Dreams,” but elongated and well-drawn in a series of guitar and instrumental solos. And in that moment we never wanted the night to end as we watched in awe. But, too soon, the night ended, and the audience was left ripped open and raw and hungering for more.
Stay tuned for more news about Greta Van Fleet! Though the “Dreams in Gold” tour is over, the band will be spending the summer performing at various festivals. See details here. We very much look forward to what they have to offer us next.
See what else I had to say as I edited photos of the set on stream!
