Here are our daily picks for you featuring Clara La San, Young Franco, Vana and more!

1. “Quality of Love” – Close to Monday

Darkwave synth-pop duo Close to Monday have released their latest single, “Quality of Love.” Hypnotic at its finest, the track boasts production from Moog, Eric Synths and Buchla synthesizer models to illustrate the captivating, complex nature of romance. The fusion of these elements alongside haunting vocals and propulsive percussion hits make this new song a captivating thriller for those looking to immerse themselves in a techno atmosphere. Evocative lyricism drives the piece forward, showcasing Close to Monday’s ability to intertwine raw emotion with experimental pop elements. Keep your eyes open for new announcements from this electronic duo in 2025!

2. “Going On” – Young Franco, piri, MC DT

Up next is “Going On,” a collaborative, infectious new single by Australian DJ and producer Young Franco, UK singer-songwriter piri and UK garage sensation MC DT. Call this a McDonald’s banger because hypnotic hooks like “Lovin’ it like this (we’re lovin’ it like this)” by MC DT establish an undeniable, syncopated energy. The fusion of piri’s dreamy vocals alongside Young Franco’s crisp beats further contribute to the earworm-worthy track. “This song is just about waking up and feeling good and having one of those rare days where everything just goes right,” piri explains. Just recently, Young Franco has announced the release of his debut album, “it’s Franky baby!” set to be released Jan. 24, 2025.

3. “Unplanned” – Clara La San

Manchester-based composer, producer and singer Clara La San has released her latest single, “Unplanned.” Often regarded as an enigma within the alternative R&B music scene, La San’s mysterious reputation stemmed from the deletion of her album Good Mourning back in 2017. Today, the 10-track mixtape has been re-released with co-written lyrics by Jam City and new mixes from Geoff Swan. “Unplanned” gives listeners a taste of what is to come, with La San’s ethereal vocal delivery floating atop lush synth pads and warm chord progressions. Evocative lyrics like “You got my body in your head / I wanna do something that’s unplanned,” combined with spaced out beats and subtle reverb evoke a sense of reflection. Listen to “Unplanned” and Good Mourning on all streaming platforms today.

4. “On My Own” – Harrison Lipton

“On My Own” by Brooklyn-based musician Harrison Lipton is a light-hearted yet introspective indie single highlighting reflections following a breakup. Composed of humorous lyricism, harmonic synths and heartfelt vocals, the track evokes a sense of comfort amidst the present loneliness. “The song started in a small bedroom studio in Carroll Gardens during a session with Aidan Ludlam of the booyyah! kids, who uses lyrics like an impressionist uses paint,” says Lipton. “He helped me balance the dissonance between being dumped and finding how to be okay with it.” The accompanying music video, directed by Yishen Wang, was shot on 16 mm film and finds Lipton immersed in a sea of New York strangers.

5. “SERPENTINE” – Vana

Closing out this week with a fierce bang is “SERPENTINE,” a powerful metal rock single by New Zealand-based artist VANA. Comprised of sultry vocals and undulating synths, the new track creates a jagged texture to captivate listeners within the sensual atmosphere. Intricate percussion hits and intense screams add onto the song’s enthralling nature. “With this music video I wanted to dive deep into horror and reinterpret a familiar story with raw, seductive energy,” says VANA, on the official visualizer. “The song plays on the story of Eve from a twisted perspective, where Lilith seduces her into a snake servant. It’s disturbing and it’s also unapologetically hot.” The new single can be found on VANA’s latest six-track EP, “TRIAL & TERROR.”

Spice up your song rotation with new techno, indie, R&B and metal tracks today! Share them with your friends and stay on the look out for any new releases from these multi-talented artists.
