Harmonic brass lines give the new release an immersive jazz and R&B feel, with layers of percussive drums and expressive strings woven throughout. 3. “Calling Cards” – The Brook & The Bluff

Australian psych-pop quartet Heavy Moss have dropped “Treadmills,” another glimpse into their newest experimental indie album, Dead Slow. Capping at six minutes and seven seconds, the song weaves together layers of funky, laid-back guitar and key lines with fluid, hypnotic vocals . “The verses and choruses are really juxtaposed against each other – the verses are an anxious stream of consciousness and is kind of jolty and angular,” said bassist Lucas Harwood. “The chorus is in a different key and is meant to be a really pretty love song within the song.” The accompanying music video is full of vibrant kaleidoscopic sketches that further emphasize the track’s dreamy, psychedelic nature. 5. “What About Me” – Alterboy
Closing out today’s selection is “What About Me,” a captivating, electronic hit by Italian duo Alterboy.
