Here are our daily picks for you featuring Saint Levant, Michael Kiwanuka, HiTech and more!
1. “DALOONA (feat. 47Soul, Shadi Borini, Qassem Alnajjar)” – Saint Levant
Palestinian-Algerian singer-songwriter Saint Levant shares “DALOONA (feat. 47Soul, Shadi Borini, Qassem Alnajjar),” an invigorating resistance anthem that encapsulates the resilience of Palestinians across the country. To capture the essence of Palestinian culture, the new release is intertwined with Middle Eastern instruments and contemporary electronic synthesizers. The accompanying music video, which showcases a traditional Palestinian wedding, is full of vibrant colors, lively dancing and joyful smiles. “Right now, we’re suffering immensely. And because of this, to the public and unknowing eyes, the world sees a dark, sad, and partial reality,” says Saint Levant. “. . . I just want to show that we Palestinians can have joy, that this community exists, and that there is PRIDE in this identity.”
2. “bottomline (feat. JoJo)” – Tori Kelly
Up next is “bottomline (feat. JoJo),” an infectious R&B hit by Californian singer-songwriter Tori Kelly. Composed of light, syncopated drums, groovy basslines and intricate vocal harmonies, the new collaboration between both vocalists delves into themes of love and commitment. “I want you to be mine all the time, mine all the time,” the pair sing. “bottomline (feat. JoJo)” can be found on Kelly’s latest 19-track album, TORI. (+ a lil more). She is set to open for Ed Sheeran’s European tour beginning May 30, 2025. Find ticket information here.
3. “One And Only” – Michael Kiwanuka
London-born singer, songwriter and record producer Michael Kiwanuka unveils his newest indie folk hit, “One And Only.” Heartfelt at its core, the song’s lyricism describes what it is like to be devoted to a loved one through thick and thin. Intimate acoustic guitar lines and soft piano chords lie beneath Kiwanuka’s warm, resonant vocals. Looking ahead, he will embark on a European tour in support of his latest album, Small Changes. 4. “SHADOWREALM ft. Zelooperz” – HiTech
Back with another ghettotech single is HiTech‘s latest concoction, “SHADOWREALM ft. Zelooperz.” Infused with unpredictability, the track showcases the Detroit-natives’ ability to layer stuttering hi-hats, harsh synths, distorted basslines and contagious vocal samples together. Evocative lyrics add onto the single’s unique soundscape to create a song that is, in all its glory, HiTech. 2025 is a big year for the trio as they will perform at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival later this spring.
5. “Stahl auf Stahl” – SUBWAY TO SALLY, Warkings
Closing out our week with an alluring, energetic bang is “Stahl auf Stahl” by metal powerhouses SUBWAY TO SALLY and Warkings. Gritty vocals, heavy riffs and head-banging drums form the backbone of this resilient anthem, whose title translates to “Steel on Steel” from German. Featuring knights adorned with armor fighting in a boxing ring, the official music video continues to emphasize medieval themes of power and courage. Beginning April 25, 2025, SUBWAY TO SALLY will set out on another European tour in support of their latest album, Post Mortem. You won’t want to miss this, so check out tickets here today!
