GET READY TO DANCE AND CRY WITH HANNE MJØEN’S RAW AND INTOXICATING ALT-POP SOUND “HARD TO LOVE”

Hanne Mjøen‘s music is like a sweet treat with a bittersweet aftertaste. Her sound is so infectious that you can’t help but tap your feet, but her lyrics hit you right in the feels. Her music reminds us that it’s okay to be flawed and to feel a range of emotions. Her journey to becoming a pop artist wasn’t traditional, but her passion for music led her to where she is today. Her breakout hit, “Sounds Good to Me,” brought her unexpected success but also put pressure on her to create more chart-topping hits. However, it was through the challenging period after that she found her true voice and created alt-pop that blends dark and dystopic sounds with hope.

Her latest EP, Emotional Fever, is a testament to this artistic growth, with “Hell With You” being a standout track. Hanne’s music is like a moody painting, with shades of blue and purple that convey the depth and complexity of her emotions. Listening to her music is a cathartic experience that will make you dance, cry, and everything in between. Hanne Mjøen’s sound is a unique blend of alt-pop that seamlessly fuses together elements of electronic, indie, and even rock music. Her songs are characterized by shimmering synths, pulsing basslines, and driving percussion, all of which are imbued with a raw, unpolished edge that gives her music a distinctive personality.

”Hard To Love tells the tale of being a complex person. Everyone has bad sides and struggles and through the lyrics I wanted to put mine on the table, letting the one you love know that if you want a love of eternal sunshine, I’ll give you the opposite. I’ll make it hard for you to love me cause unfortunately I’m not a perfect person either.”

Hanne Mjøen

Overall, Hanne Mjøen‘s sound is a truly intoxicating blend of alt-pop that is both dark and raw, yet also shimmering and danceable. With her unique style and emotive lyrics, she has quickly become one of Norway’s most exciting new musical talents.
