With Valentine’s Day having just passed, our hearts are set on the different perspectives of love. Check out our featured music this week and let us know what you think of our picks!

“Escape,” by Bjorn Rydhog: This folk song is the perfect introduction to your Monday with its soothing vocals and instrumentals. We become so attached to the familiar in our culture and lives; and the artist expresses this desire to cut off the unnecessary attachments to inspire growth and change.

“Someone,” by Jaguar Jaguar: An electro pop track that soars with reckless love, this beat buries us deep into the peak of youth.

“Burning,” by Danielle Juhre: This single is seductive and expresses a burn of love and the battle of love burning from within.

Triggers,” by Reality Suite: This female-lead rock track inspires its listeners to keep battling for the sake of self-love and healing as it reveals the dangers of triggers that hold you back; whether it be unhealthy coping mechanisms or even outside pressures, something is always around the corner trying to influence your judgement.

Here are some albums on our radar right now!

Death of Rock and Roll, by The Pretty Reckless: The highly-anticipated rock album with rock goddess Taylor Momsen is finally out! Stay tuned for an album review.

Perfectly Preserved, by Love and Death: featuring metal heavy-hitters such as Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf and Breaking Benjamin, this highly anticipated release is the first full length we’ve heard from Brian “Head” Welch’s passion project in eight years! They went live to celebrate their release. Check out our review of the performance here.
