Faouzia and the Experience of Heartbreak in “RIP, Love”

Moroccan-Canadian singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Faouzia has returned once more with her new single “RIP, Love.” The track shows elements of Moroccan and Arabic music styles, inspired by the music that she grew up listening to.

Garnering an impressive 720M global streams to date, Faouzia has cemented herself as a surefire artist to watch. She has taken part in collaborations with artists such as John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, David Guetta, and more. Her stardom has only been skyrocketing since, and she has been praised in global publications spanning VOGUEHarper’s Bazaar, PEOPLE, ELLERolling StoneGenius, SeventeenBillboard, and Uproxx, to name but a few. She is currently devoting all of her time on her eagerly awaited debut album, and remains on the path of turning her unbridled self-expression into a powerful outlet for her different listeners.

My favorite thing is hearing that one of my songs helped someone feel motivated or empowered, or even helped them to have a good cry – which sometimes is all you need. I really believe that immersing yourself in music can help you through the tough times in life, and I always hope that my songs can do that for everyone.”

“RIP, Love” is very solemn in expressing the loneliness that comes with yet another shattered heart. Flourished expertly in her own flare, Faouzia speaks on fruitless promises, and the way that it haunts her seeing someone she cares for so broken. The vocals are perfect in showing her wide range and capabilities to sing in any style, as well as her expertise in writing intense emotions. She blames all of the experienced heartbreak on herself in a beautiful expression of artistry.
