Fall Out Boy Meets Football In ‘B1G Saturday Night’

Calling all football and Fall Out Boy fans alike: The rock band will headline NBC Sports’ B1G Saturday Night show on September 2. Viewers can tune in at 7:30 Eastern time on NBC or Peacock to watch, where Penn State will take on West Virginia to kick off the season. First, Fall Out Boy will open up the show with “Here Comes Saturday Night,” along with headlining the NBC Sports and Peacock Big Ten Football promotional campaign. The show will also feature football players, cheerleaders, bands, and Big Ten student fans.

B1G Saturday Night is Big Ten Football’s first weekly primetime game on a national broadcast network, and Peacock will also be the exclusive home for nine games this season.

We are excited to have Fall Out Boy star in our show open to help us capture the passion and pageantry of Big Ten Football in primetime.

~ Tripp Dixon, NBC Sports creative director.

Fall Out Boy’s emo, pop-punk influenced sound will help amp up excitement for the crowds that swarm to see the sport so many Americans love. Fans can expect to see FOB members Patrick Stump (lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist ), Pete Wentz (bassist), Andy Hurley (drummer), and Joe Trohman (lead guitarist) light up the stage.

The band’s eighth studio album, So Much (For) Stardust, has been a smashing success – debuting as the No. 1 rock album. FOB also finished “So Much For (Tour) Dust” in North America but will continue the headline tour in Europe and the UK in the coming months.

Don’t forget to check out B1G Saturday Night, available via NBC or Peacock. The show is worth a watch, whether you’re in it for the music or the football. And while you’re at it, keep up with Fall Out Boy on the band’s website, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
