EXCITING, SMOOTH ROCK WITH A TOUCH OF COUNTRY THAT’S “HAVIN’ FUN” BY ELECTRIC FUCHSIA

“Romance depicted as a spaghetti western with a main character who has found himself with a knife in a gunfight.” I bet you have never heard someone describe their song in such an illustrative and bizarre way, but somehow that perfectly captures the captivating essence of “Havin’ Fun”. The song which is an artistic mix of western guitar tracks mixed with rock bass and rhythm lines is the newest creation of the indie band Electric Fuchsia.

The song had been in the making for years on and off until the enigmatic trio (Socrates, Joe, and Keith) was finally struck by inspiration someday during the pandemic. The triggering moment? The chaotic dating life of their friends, funny yet extremely relatable IKYK. They came to the conclusion that romance is an ongoing conflict and decided what better way to picture it than in a classic American Western-style stand-off. I guess sometimes love does hit you like a bullet and hurts like hell…

We set the protagonist as a relatively helpless character who’s completely outmatched in this, which from Joe’s perspective reflects some of Socrates’ own past challenges in trying to navigate the dating scene… but maybe we won’t pull too hard on that thread!

They drew musical inspiration from the recently deceased Ennio Morricone to infuse the track with the right touch of artistry to make it the absolute banger that it is now.
