Festival goers are in for a wild ride this Labor Day Weekend. Electric Zoo Hyperspace is gearing up to fill Randall’s Island Park in New York City from September 1 to 3. The futuristic festival’s 2023 lineup features more than 100 artists across three days, and fans flock to it every year for the top names in electronic music. 2023 marks the festival’s first with an LGBTQ+ stage, Dreamland.
The stage is curated by Jake Resnicow, one of Out100’s “Most Influential LGBTQ+ People.” He’s known for his groundbreaking work as an event producer and promoter, presenting major LGBTQ+ events with headliners like Janet Jackson and Katy Perry. Now, he brings this experience to perfect Dreamland.
By spotlighting LGBTQ+ artists and artists who are considered allies, we not only showcase their incredible talents but also inspire the next generation of diverse artists and fans. It’s about creating a space where people can express themselves freely, connect authentically, and celebrate the beautiful spectrum of identities within our community. Dreamland is not just a stage—it is a movement that fosters love, acceptance, and growth within our community. We are thrilled to be leading this change and celebrating the power of music and diversity.

For an almost otherworldly experience, head to Electric Zoo’s Morphosis Stage on Friday, September 1. The energy levels will be sky-high. Tickets are on sale now — get ‘em while they’re hot. LGBTQ+ artists and allies will showcase and celebrate their diverse identities at Dreamland, with Eli Escobar as its headliner. The NYC DJ-producer said he’s happy to be a part of the festival in his hometown.

The Blessed Madonna will bring her powerful performance as an act, and DJ-producer duo Coco & Breezy’s genre-breaking work will bring mesmerizing music, ranging from house to Afro-Latino to R&B and more. Also, keep an eye out for DJ Spencer Huff’s and Matt Suave’s b2b set. Plus, J.Worra’s old-school house meets modern techno is bound to be exhilarating. And of course, immersive performances from “international vibe curators” Bob’s Dance Shop will only build the excitement of Dreamland. Kaskade will also take the stage around sunset, with the effervescent dance music fans know and love.
If you’ve followed my career or have listened to my music you know that everything I do can be traced back to the earliest House Music days in Chicago. The clubs were alive and vibrant and heavily influenced by the gay DJs, dancers, producers and music lovers. It’s exciting to now be playing on the Dreamland stage, as an homage to my LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters that have been with me on this journey and the ones who paved the way.
