EAST FOREST‘s latest single was just shared has just shared from his forthcoming new album. “Possible” is a stirring piano and string led ballad depicting the hope found in possibilities all around us; and it is not afraid of digging into the vulnerability with its soulful instrumentals as it faces the feelings of rebuilding from the ashes, when you’re left bare and vulnerable.
East Forest is an international leader in underground sound meditation, utilizing his skilled instrumental repertoire to create space for people to find themselves and transcend nature, technology, music, and the human experience. “Possible” is the latest chapter in his ever-evolving career, which includes over 25 albums, including 2019’s album length collaboration with spiritual pioneer Ram Dass, the five hour long psilocybin soundtrack Music For Mushrooms, and collaborations withTyphoon, Laraaji, Dead Prez, Trevor Hall, and more. The opening melody of “Possible” came to East Forest on a 102-year old Baldwin piano he found in a local music shop; the unexpected softness and warmth of the weathered piano inspired the song’s theme. The song was rounded out by string arrangements by Lorna Dune and members of the Boise Philharmonic 208 ensemble.
For the past decade, East Forest has been a trailblazer in the international wellness movement, guiding students through a brain-body approach aimed towards non-religious spirituality. He has conducted retreats at the Esalen Institute, Google and John Hopkins neuroaesthetics project, Wavepaths, Consciousness Hacking, TED, and more.
