Dropping Hits: Enchanting Releases Single, “Love Shit”

1017 Global Music’s rap & R&B princess, Enchanting dropped her second single of the year, “Love Shit” on Feb. 3 in anticipation of the release of her latest mixtape, Luv Scarred which dropped on Thursday, Feb. 10.

Only two minutes and twenty seconds long, Enchanting mixes her two specialities together seamlessly–“Trap-n-Blues.” The track reminisces over a toxic relationship, more specifically going back and forth with loving and hating your partner

The lyrics of “Love Shit” follow similar tones of her single, “Keep It Playa,” Summer Walker’s “I’ll Kill You,” and SZA’s “Kill Bill.” Enchanting expresses the conflictions of wanting to be both vulnerable and guarded. In her lyrics she says:

“You made me wanna lose my mind / You make me want to kill the bitch you with / …I’ma keep it on some shit, fuck that love shit”

Being her second single of the year, “Love Shit” follows her first single “Tell Me Why” and her debut full length album No Luv released Nov. 2022. During the production of No Luv, the rising artist crafted hits, “Against The Law” featuring KenTheMan and “O.P.P” featuring JDot & Whoppa wit Da Choppa.

This was her first introduction to her success as she continued on working with prestigious rappers, singers, and songwriters like Gucci Mane, Kali, Coi Leray, and more. Since the release of her debut rap album, the Texan rapper and singer has crafted her skills that garnered 120 million global streams to date.

Through her growth she has found her own style, titled Trap-n-Blues, which is a style that wraps empathy within stone cold vocals. She continued to work on her skill in this style with the singles like “Keep It Playa” and “What I Want” featuring Jacquees. Her growth and dedication to her craft has been reflected in the release of “Love Shit” and we expect to see it in Luv Scarred too.
