C.Shreve x D.R.U.G Beats Shine in ‘Pimp Light’

As residents of this planet we call earth, we share that special relationship with the light. Whether brought by natural cases like the sunlight, fire, aurora borealis and the like or man made ones. Such as the fluorescent light, flashlight or the literal light at the end of the tunnel et al. They’ve all sparked our emotions and attention all in one swoop. Swoosh!! Not to mention, they’ve also served as our guides, rallying points and security blanket in the scariest of hours.

But then are certain points where these lights turn into savage beasts causing us misery. Providing us with an ache that’s crippling, leaving us vulnerable and in the dark. Such is the tale told by C. Shreve The Professor’s latest song entitled “Pimp Light (Feat. D.R.U.G.S Beats). Released last February 3rd via FTO Records, it’s the antithesis of a fairy tale. No castles, kingdoms from far away and damsels in distress screaming at the top of their lungs here. In their place is an authentic human story about struggles in the streets of the biggest cities in the US. While dragons, conquerors and villains are absent, there exists that uphill struggle with poverty. Not to mention the greed, crime and agony bundled with it.

While C. Shreve The Professor’s “Pimp Light (Feat. D.R.U.G.S Beats)” may give off that ‘tough guy’ vibes. At its core is a message that we can all adhere to: hard times aren’t there to destroy you. It might feel like it but at the end of it all, there lies a reward for those who persevere. So hang in there, and go hard just like the sick flows of “Pimp Light”. Stay creative like the beats, rhymes, rhythm and instrumentation brought by C. Shreve x D.R.U.G.S Beats.
