With crisp vocals and a fresh electronic pop-rock sound, I was impressed with the quality of the song and the video from this new up-and-coming artist, Mannis. “Don’t It Hurt” starts with a simple indie guitar riff and stripped beat, then explodes into a fully electronic chorus, his smooth tenor voice carrying the energy of the song through to the end.
The music video for “Don’t It Hurt” emotes the same feeling as the song, with visual representations of that explosion as Mannis shoots fireworks off into the sky and colorful blasts of energy rings vibrate off him as the video progresses.
