Irist “Gloria” EP Out Now

Citizens of musicville, we’ve got great news for you! The once hailed big breakout metal band of 2020 IRIST, is now back bursting into the scene. This time with their “Gloria” EP which was released last September 16th via Nuclear Blast Records. Kaboom! Time to get those heels ready, from that mosh pit and rock our hair out till we all lose breath.

A compilation of songs talking about glory and its many various faces. “Gloria” is a celebration of overcoming all our obstacles, and despite the fear that has filled our days we are still here standing strong. A message that IRIST and its members; Rodrigo Carvalho, Pablo Davila, Adam Mitchell, and Bruno Segovia all know too well. All of which have since then been conquering their own beasts head strong. Such as Rodrigo moving back to Brazil, Pablo heading back to Texas in order to work the front lines in a COVID ward in Austin.

Consisting of five powerful and gut-wrenching tracks like: “Gloria”, “Heal”, “III”, “Surging Ablaze”, and “Watchful Eye”. This was self-produced and mixed by Matt Bayles (Mostodon, Isis, Minus The Bear) while all drum tracks were by Jason Belisha. With all this talent on board, it is safe to say that this is one explosive come back that’ll remind us how IRIST stole our hearts in the first place.

As much as it is IRIST’s way to tap us on the shoulder that “we’re still here”. “Gloria” can also serve as a well of inspiration for us who are still fighting the good fight.Whether they are seen or unseen, it’s purpose is to push us further than our limits, to finally slay those demons that are trying to get a foothold of us. Think of it as an energy drink for the soul to keep us believing that we can do it.

Searching for more IRIST to shock your system? If so, then head on over to their official website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts for more mind-bending content.
