Dayglow Talks Aspirations & Influences, Teases New Music At Forecastle Festival

Sloan Struble, aka Dayglow, performed an electrifying set at Forecastle a week and a half ago (be sure to read our recaps of his day and the full weekend). We were lucky enough to catch him for an interview beforehand to discuss his aspirations, influences, and new music (among other things). We talked Paul Simon. We talked Roosevelt and Tame Impala. We talked Harmony House and the festival circuit. How we compacted so much into an eight-and-a-half minute interview, I’m not entirely sure, but we did it! Check it out below!

Also, be sure to check out Dayglow’s most recent album, Harmony House! Released on May 21st, 2021, Harmony House brings the 80’s pop-rock sound back and modernizes it in a way that few have been able to before. It was also written and produced solely by Sloan himself. The lead single, “Close To You,” is a masterclass in songwriting, and songs like “December,” “Moving Out,” and “Woah Man” bring in even more influences from 80’s icons but add that Dayglow twist.
