DAPHNE RELEASE NEW SINGLE “MISS MERCER” THAT WILL GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD
Seattle based band Daphne have released their new single “Miss Mercer” written from the perspective leaving a place you love (aka Seattle) and coming to find that all the things you hated about it are the things you miss the most. This is a fun pop punk emo track with very catchy lyrics that also share moments of reminiscence for the city of Seattle. It has a lot of reflection and subtle emotion with every word sung. Lots of drums, sick guitar riffs with the perfect vocal pitch to tie in the genre perfectly. “Miss Mercer” ends of with such a bang where the drums pick up and your head definitely bops along and the cheeky little live recording of the band members singing their lyrics “ba buh duh bah” making the song even more personable with that little touch.
Daphne formed in Seattle during the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020. The band started when long time friends/cover band-mates Luke, Phil, Caleb, and Brycen decided to begin exploring original music. Daphne’s introspective music gives a nod to the 2000s rock bands that first inspired the four members. Definitely a band to check out!
