corook’s Music Video For “it’s ok!” Perfectly Captures The Song’s Message of Balance and Self-Care

Comedic pop artist corook released the music video for her single, “it’s ok!” which she describes as an adult lullaby for when life feels too challenging and overwhelming. Its melody is reminiscent of a lullaby, and combined with corook’s soft vocals and acoustic guitar, “it’s ok!” is the perfect song to listen to when needing to take a breath and calm down. corook’s use of humor and acting portray the range of emotions in “it’s ok!” by depicting how mental health is affected by social media and the news. It serves as the perfect reminder to learn how to maintain balance in one’s life and that “it’s okay” to take some time to rest when needed.

Listen to “it’s ok!” below:

The music video for “it’s ok!” features corook as she goes about her day, trying to feel better after waking up not feeling great. With her army of colorful stick-figure friends, corook takes the time to do little things to take care of herself, such as eating healthy food like an apple, taking time away from technology, and going for a walk. Throughout the video, the apple corook is eating is featured, showing how she’s taking little bites of it during the day. As the music video ends, corook removes the apple seeds and plants them in the ground. She walks away, and an illustrated colorful tree grows from the seeds, giving birth to another stick figure who chases after corook.
