Indie-pop phenom Chloe Moriondo returns with her latest single “girls with gills.”
Hailed as “one of indie pop’s brightest stars,” Chloe Moriondo takes us with her to the depths of the sea, right to her latest single “girls with gills.” The track follows her highly successful third studio album oyster, which dropped last spring. Prior to that, Moriondo already cemented her place as one of the most exciting rising indie-pop talents with her 2022 and 2021 albums SUCKERPUNCH and Bloody Bunny. Both of these projects convince with their gripping indie-pop and jittery pop-punk vibes respectively.
Moreover, Moriondo garnered support from The New York Times, Billboard, NYLON, V Magazine and so many more. Notably, she also had the exciting opportunity to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Her latest album oyster came to be following a myriad of turbulent life changes and was created by a close-knit team of cowriters and producers such as Jonah Summerfield, Chloe Kraemer, AfterHrs, and more. The album is Moriondo’s most sonically diverse project yet, spanning genres from earnest balladry to explosive hyper-pop, cathartic pop-punk to sparkling indie-pop. Her unique soundscapes, alongside her magnificent songwriting allow for oyster to deeply explore themes of heartbreak while illustrating the process of surfacing braver, wiser, and ready to dive back in.

About her single “girls with gills,” Moriondo says,
‘girls with gills’ is what you hear bumping from the hottest club in Atlantis. If you can get down, you can get in!! It’s full of sparkle, chaos, bubbles, and mermaids shaking ass.
The song instantly invites us to get up and get dancing. With punchy synths and sassy vocals, “girls with gills” is a must on any dance party worthy of Neptune’s groove.
Alongside the song, Moriondo released a breathtaking visualizer that takes us right under the sea.

Furthermore, her album oyster features smash hits such as “shoreline,” “hate it” and “abyss” which instantly gained recognition from the likes of Billboard, Ones To Watch, EUPHORIA and more.
As an extension of the album, Moriondo closed out her highly successful North American headline run, “The Oyster Tour” earlier this year. On it, she filled the venues in major cities such as Detroit, New York, Los Angeles and Toronto. But wait, Chloe Moriondo is just getting started. Since September 12, she is conquering Europe and the UK on a wide-ranging international headline tour. Starting on November 14, she will continue her tour in North America, wrapping it up with a special hometown show at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre on November 26.
