Women are beautiful. Women are amazing. Women are powerful.

Happy Women’s History Month! March is an entire month dedicated to celebrating the contributions of women to history and modern society. And there is indeed a lot to celebrate. Women like Marie Curie, Harriet Tubman, Jane Goodall, Claudette Colvin, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Arethra Franklin, and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg have played critical roles in our history and our society. Yet despite the contributions that women have made in arts, history, science, sports, politics, etc., women still face a lot of inequality, sexism, and discrimination all over the world.

That is why we must celebrate all women. Because women deserve more. Women deserve to live in societies that treat us as equals. Women deserve to live lives that are not defined by society’s gender norms.

With Monday, March 8th, marking International Women’s Day, we have curated a playlist that is all about women. Of course, this isn’t an all-inclusive list because there are so many wonderfully talented women in the music industry, but we’ve included women artists who are pioneers in the music industry, outspoken about discrimination and mental health, and are radically vulnerable and divine in their femininity. We hope you feel inspired and empowered while you listen!
