Dystopia has always had that “cool” sounding ring that never fails to give us goosebumps (brrr!). Thanks in large part to a genre we call sci-fi and its ever-increasing popularity. Throughout the years, it’s transcended its status as a buzz word and now into a household term. One of where we often use to describe where we’re heading in the near future whether in jest or genuine concern about everything that’s going on.

But amidst all it’s supposed “coolness” and its excitable energy attached to it. The word dystopia is something that should by all means stay in the realm of make believe. Sure, it’s a great backdrop to create an epic atmosphere for an action-packed filled story. But if it were to happen in real life, this would mark the collapse of the liberty and freedom we all enjoy. A dark cloud the dictionary could only define as “an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice, typically one that is totalitarian or post-apocalyptic.”.

Then there’s the German metalcore band CALIBAN with their upcoming album “Dystopia” which is set to paint an eerie soundscape. Set to drop April 22nd via Century Media. This was produced by the trio of Benjamin Richter (Moonspell, Emil Bulls), the band’s guitarist Mark Görtz, as well as a Allan Orr (Dream On, Dreamer). Like a wild animal, it’s armed with to teeth with 12 tracks namely: “Dystopia Feat. Wieczorek”, “Ascent Of The Blessed”, “virUs Feat. Marcus Bischoff”, “Phantom Pain”, “Alien”, “Swords”, “Darkness I Became”, “Dragon Feat. Jonny Davy”, “Hibernate”, “Mother”, “The World Breaks Everyone”, and “D I V I D E D”.

As for the additional details, “Dystopia” will be obtainable as a digital album, limited digipack, and vinyl. Hold up though, because their vinyl is available in these colors: black LP & poster 300x, white- black marbles LP and poster available at CM Distro Wholesale EU and EU online shop 300x, transparent blue black marbles LP and poster available at EMP 500x, black blood red splattered LP and poster available at Impericon 500x, and transparent pink black marbles LP and poster available for pre order in the US.  Click here to see more.
