Bonnie x Clyde and FOMO Share “Need Ya”
Today, September 23rd, Virginia-born music duo, Bonnie x Clyde, join forces with house music producers, FOMO, for a highly anticipated club anthem. “Need Ya” is sure to take over clubs, festivals, and radio shows around the world. Bonnie x Clyde have had a lot of momentum throughout the summer. This infectious single is sure to help them capitalize on their recent success. In their most recent collaboration with FOMO, the process behind the single included a desire to curate an infectious single that resonated with both audiences.
Since their start, Bonnie x Clyde have received over ninety-five million streams to date. The high-school friends, now music duo, share a multi-dimensional sound, from high energy dance music to vocal led dance songs that walk between the rave scene and radio stations world wide. After spending senior year of college making music over Skype the duo debuted their first singles the “The Ride” and “Rise Above” in late 2015, they garnered attention from Insomniac and Interscope Records, which set up the release of their debut EP, Wanted, two years later. This release earned them their first No. 1 on Sirius XM Dance Charts for seven consecutive weeks with single “Bass Jam,” and that propelled their first United States tour, with sold out dates all over the country. Following their quick rise to success, Bonnie x Clyde independently released their next EP, While We Were Young in 2018, which gained over 12 million streams. They followed that breakthrough into a circuit of international festival dates, including EDC Mexico, EDC Japan, Nocturnal Columbia, EDC Korea, LIC Bangkok among others. A year later, the duo signed to Ultra Records and continued to release a string of successful anthems that have reached critical acclaim.
Dynamic music producers and creators of the No Fomo Podcast, FOMO, are bringing a whole new energy to the house music scene. Consisting of Garrett Beaupre and Morgan Bundgus, the San Diego based duo met as roommates and fraternity brothers in college, which set the playing field for the launch of the FOMO project in 2016. FOMO has gained a lot of recognition from the success of their original productions. They have accumulated millions of streams on Spotify alone, have won remix contests from Tchami and Insomniac’s Discovery Project, and garnered support from some of dance music’s elite names including Diplo, Steve Aoki, Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, Valentino Khan, RL Grime, and Illenium. But their success doesn’t stop there. The pair has taken the stage at some of North America’s most iconic venues including the legendary Palladium in Los Angeles, as well as prestigious music festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas and Countdown NYE.
A powerhouse of forces in this recent collaboration between the two projects, “Need Ya” begins with a slow fade into the soundscape as leading vocals fixate the listener’s focus on the emotive lyrical performance. The beat pours into the mix just as effortlessly as the harmonies sooth the soul. While hooking the heart strings, the leading melody is sure to linger in the head long after the song is over.
Both projects made comments about the song:
After experiencing ups and downs in our relationship over the past 2 years, when we met up with FOMO to write a song, naturally, a song about needing someone in your life came out of us. It was a time we felt vulnerable and we’re so happy we were able to reminisce looking back on our experiences, share these emotions with each other, & spill it all out in the creation of this track. We can’t wait for everyone to take this song and make it their own.

When we wrote “Need Ya” with Bonnie X Clyde the goal was to merge our two sounds to create a feelsy story-driven track that still bangs in the club. We’re really proud of how it turned out and can’t wait to share it with everyone!
