Sacramento Area’s The Boardwalk Opens with a Bang Featuring Intimate Show with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
A sold-out crowd welcomed historic Orangevale, California venue, The Boardwalk, back into the local music scene on Friday, October 14th. Joined with an appearance from Self Continuum and Yunger, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus arrived to offer an intimate, once in a lifetime experience to fans of all ages.
In its thirty-five year history, The Boardwalk has hosted the likes of Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and much more within its doors. And as a favorite for Northern California locals, some wondered if they would see the doors open again after the industry closed doors for two years.
And at last, after patiently waiting, The Boardwalk is back, stronger and better than ever before.
I know this place means a lot to me and it means a lot to you. Thank you for helping bring it back because music is a powerful thing.
~ Jay Malcuit | vocalist of Yunger

Self Continuum and Yunger opened up the evening with effortless vocals that created a unique contrast with a blend of post-hardcore and heavy rock instrumentals.

Before the arrival of the headliner, the owners and organizers of the grand opening offered a christening speech with champagne, and an expression of gratitude to the audience for joining them in their celebration.

Then the audience packed in closer than ever as The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus joined the stage. Adding to the intimacy of the experience, they embraced one another and sang to each word. The rock legends shared a moment with everyone in the audience as a look back and reflection on their beginnings.
