Swedish metalcore outfit drops their latest single, “Snipe Hunt,” today, January 21st. The modern, hard-hitting metalcore track features intense vocals and classic breakdowns with a fresh take that is sure to turn heads in the crowd.
Formed in 2019 in Jönköping, Sweden, BITE DOWN shares influences from the American and Australian hardcore and metalcore scene the goal was to write raw yet modern metallic hardcore that’s equal parts aggressive, rhythmic and technical with memorable lyrical content.
The trio, Hampus Ströberg, Jocke Rojas Rodriguez, and Jacob Mild shares a powerful message in their track. Many chase the need to live the perfect life; and the band captures the essence of the state of panic and reproduces the feelings of anxiety in not meeting up to those perfect standards. The high and heavy vocals paired with the frantic electronic guitars and low growls alone bring that sense of anxiety, and broken down, the lyrics process through the emotion and seem to come to the realization at the end that in pursuit of an absolutely perfect life, it’s a mere fool’s errand, or “snipe hunt,” as the song’s title rightfully calls it. Drums compliment the piece and complete the thought process in its fullest.
