Billy Howerdel Headlines on Third Night of Tour with Special Guests, VOWWS
Billy Howerdel, known best for his roles in A Perfect Circle and Ashes Divide, is on tour celebrating the fresh release of his latest solo album, What Normal Was. Joined with a full band, he takes center stage for an immersive experience for the intimate crowd that all listened intently in the bar setting of Roseville, California’s “Goldfield’s Trading Post.”

Special guests, VOWWS, joined the stage first, as special guests of the tour. Their instruments electrified the air. Complimented with intense background visuals, the crowd grew and excitement built as they prepared the atmosphere for the night’s event.

When the headliners began to play, synths echoed in the ears, creating a melody that pulled us in to the initial experience and soundscape. Then Billy joined in, coming from the front of the stage and effortlessly began to perform tracks new and old. “Poison Flowers” seemed to be a fan favorite, as the crowd screamed loudly when the intro began, much to a surprising response with a grin from Billy himself.
“This is… quite cozy,” he muttered into the mic after the track. He then thanked everyone for coming in attendance to witness his performance before continuing the rest of the set.
Each quiet pause intentionally placed was dead silent, adding to the tension and build of each track’s experience. Halfway through the performance, an impressive drum solo further added to the experience, naturally flowing in from the end of the track to the beginning of the next. From there, we continued our listening all the more intently until the night felt suddenly over, and we were pulled from the dream of the band’s creation gently, awoken and left with a tangible memory of what had just happened, to live with for the rest of our days.
Billy Howerdel will be continuing tour throughout the summer, and as a special guest on Puscifer‘s remaining tour dates. Check here for tickets to the event.
