Ben Howard’s Latest Pop Sequence, “Walking Backwards,” Is Out Now

With experimental beats and unique stylism, Ben Howard has shown off his skills in his latest release, “Walking Backwards.” The song features parts with jazzy textures and an influence of guitar and folk strings. Howard released the song ahead of his new album, Is It?, which is set to be released on June 16th. “Walking Backwards” is a direct follow-up from his latest “Couldn’t Make It,” both of which provide a familiar sound and set the tone for the upcoming album that Howard is set to give us.

Howard’s song is fueled by a simple yet powerful source of inspiration: a few encouraging words he has for his listeners. In those heartfelt lyrics, he seeks to uplift and motivate, saying that it’s okay to “walk backwards” and go a different route than others expect.

“Walking Backwards is a song to remind ourselves you are doing just fine. A small, personal resistance to the growing pressure to conform. To let go of the constant expectation that we should be striving for more and ploughing forever forwards…You are doing great, keep up the good work.”

~ Ben Howard

The British artist has diligently prepared for the release of his highly anticipated album, Is It? Collaborating with talented producers in the scenic south of France, Howard aimed to capture his unique sound. In just 10 days, they brought this eagerly awaited album to life. Fans are excited about this creative release.

Howard invested time and effort into perfecting every aspect of the album, pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic territories. Drawing from his distinctive musical sensibilities and creative talent, the results will showcase his artistic growth and ability to redefine his sound.
