Walking the line between euphoric romance and delicate sadness, renowned DJ BCee released his new single, “Lies” ft. Lauren Archer. The track precedes his upcoming 8th studio album titled These Are The Days, set to release on October 11th. After 23+ years of experience and over 100M career streams, the Norfolk producer extraordinaire continues to create alluring, contemporary projects that satisfy the hearts of true drum and bass aficionados.
Soft piano chords and an acoustic guitar over airy, chopped synths welcome the listener. Lauren Archer’s voice smoothly enters, enveloping the ears in a dreamy warmth. A quick-paced drum and bass breakdown elevates the energy at the pre-chorus, leading into the heart of the track. Post-chorus, the vocals recede, making space for what sounds like a distorted string line. These rather bright instrumentals contrast the emotional story of the lyrics:

On the collaboration, BCee commented: “I’ve wanted to work with Lauren since hearing her track with Pola & Bryson ‘Night Dawns’… I felt she would be a great fit for this album.” He then hints at more potential collaborations with Archer.
BCee remains booked and busy, recently wrapping up headline shows in North America, as well as a set at Infrasound Festival. He was also chosen to perform for the highly-regarded Shogun Sessions, revealing some songs off the album and sharing some favorite Drum & Bass and Jungle tracks.
Aside from music, BCee extends his creativity to gardening. With his wife, he has been consistently leading fundraisers for their non-profit, Green & Glory Garden, which intends to give back to his home community, Norfolk, England, by building a community garden.
