It has been made official, The Sphere has landed it’s first dance music act. On December 31, 2024, “Afterlife presents Anyma: The End of Genesys.” takes place at the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas. Brought to you by Live Nation and Afterlife, Anyma + special guests look to take full soundscape and visual control over one of the hottest venues in the United States.
At the heart of this event is Anyma, the visionary music and contemporary art project led by Matteo Milleri. Known for his work in Tale of Us, Matteo has truly pushed himself to another realm with the Anyma project. Renowned for his critically acclaimed albums “Genesys” and “Genesys II,” as well as his high-caliber live audio visual performances, Anyma stands as sone of the pioneers of blending music, technology, and visual art.
Afterlife has grown from an event series and record label into a multidimensional platform that champions pioneering artists and visually stunning installations. As the first electronic music act to perform at Sphere and the venue’s inaugural New Year’s Eve show, Anyma will present the audio-visual spectacle “Genesys,” a show that has captivated audiences worldwide.
This New Year’s Eve, attendees can expect to see a lot of the classic Anyma and Afterlife visuals, combined with those biggest hits we all want to hear. Fans can look forward to a sensory-expanding combination of innovative visuals and sounds that push the boundaries of possibility. Take a look at the video below from Afterlife Chile 2023 to envision what a NYE countdown could potentially look like this December.
The event will also feature special guests, making the end of “Genesys” an even more memorable occasion.
“Special guests” is always a fun thing to speculate about, so lets do a little bit of that here. Anyma will be sure to bring along his brother and other half of Tale of Us, Carmine, to do a solo performance as Mrak. We can also expect Tale of Us to have a good chance on being featured on the lineup as this surely is a moment the two of them would like to share together. Other safe guesses would be artists who have recently released on their label such as (but not limited to) Argy, Massano, Adriatique, and ARTBAT, to name a few.
While these are some names that are more “expected”, there will definitely be some surprises that will cause a little more impact. Could Matteo bring out Grimes to sing her portion of their collaboration “Welcome To The Opera“? Will the one of the original visionaries behind immersive shows, Eric Prydz, be willing to join Anyma for a b2b again after their joint performance at Coachella? Whatever the final outcome of the lineup is, it is sure to be filled with plenty for fans to enjoy.
Due to overwhelming demand, Afterlife & Anyma announced via Instagram they are now adding shows on December 27th and 28th. That means this will now be a five night run and we could not be any more excited!
Tickets are available for general sale here starting tomorrow at 9am PT.
