On January 19, Los Angeles-based rock sensation Bad Omens dropped their latest track, “Like a Villain.”  The song is the latest release from the band’s forthcoming fifteen-track album, THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND, which will be out Friday, February 25 (via Sumerian Records).

THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND was previously teased by the rock band with the release of the album title track, as well as the double single “”What do you want from me?” and “ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE”, which combined have garnered over 6.2 million streams on Spotify as of this date.

Bad Omens, a four-person band made up of Noah Sebastian, who provides the vocals, Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson on the guitar, Nick Ruffilo on the bass, and Nick Folio on the drums, has racked up over 250 million worldwide streams as of this date. On creating their third full-length album, THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND, the band commented that “making the record changed us as songwriters and musicians. In many ways, it feels like it set us free as an artist because every decision made in the writing process was for us.”

With the release date of their third album creeping ever closer, longtime listeners to Bad Omens could recognize signature elements of the band’s sound. Genre-defying seductive hooks, reinventions of non-instrumental items into music, and an overall chilly and unsettling energy permeates through the preview tracks featured on this upcoming album. On the writing aspect of this album’s creation, Noah explains that “sonically, we want to do something you can’t arrive late or early to. You can’t cheat your way to the final act.”

The advice seems very apt as we await the release of Bad Omens’ new album. In the meantime, you can listen to “Like a Villain” here!
