All good things come in threes, so fans should get excited for Slaughter to Prevail and BABYMETAL’s new banging single, “Song 3.”

The track follows the release of BABYMETAL’s “from me to u” feat. Poppy and Slaughter to Prevail’s “Russian Grizzly In America”, both of which amassed millions of streams in less than a month. This fast-paced new song is one of BABYMETAL’s most forceful tracks to date. The synergy between Slaughter to Prevail’s raw, punishing vocals and BABYMETAL’s soaring, melodic choruses is unmatched. The result is a tense and theatrical, but tightly controlled recording that will hook listeners in with the first beat of the drum.

After the tune opens, it doesn’t take long for the music to ramp up to a 10. The fierce Japanese lyrics, mixed with the fiery Russian lyrics, create a culturally unique piece that unites under one genre. “One, two, three” is repeated in Japanese throughout the piece, giving the song a playful and literal tone. All of it adds up to how many times the track can blow you away.

The song was written by the Russian band Slaughter To Prevail before being sent across continents for Japanese band BABYMETAL. BABYMETAL added their vocals, lyrics, and verses all centered around the concept of “3,” unleashing their signature kawaii chaos. Matt Heafy of Trivium performed the shamisen woven throughout the song, adding another unexpected layer to the madness.

“Song 3” is set to appear on Slaughter to Prevail’s upcoming album ‘GRIZZLY’ and is featured on BABYMETAL‘s newly released album METAL FORTH. GRIZZLY drops July 18, and preorders for CD, cassette, and vinyl, including several exclusive variants, are available now! Be ahead of the crowd and see what you can score before it’s gone!

For fans wanting to experience the exhilarating energy Slaughter To Prevail exudes live, they’ll be performing at multiple locations this year! Some of them include Vans Warped Tour, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock Festival. The band will also be touring with Hollywood Undead, Falling In Reverse, and Sleep Theory from August 29 through September 26. Check out the full list of upcoming dates.
